Must Dos in Alaska

Alaska is prime territory for adventure activities, which is why we love to travel there. Here are a few of the most popular pursuits we indulge in while up north.

River/Sea Journeys: Typically tackled by canoe or raft, Alaska’s rivers offer various degrees of difficulty from easy to moderate that will challenge all levels of wilderness travelers. Sea kayaking is also gaining popularity here. During your week with Fit4Adventure, you’ll go jet boating in Denali State Park and sea kayaking in the Kenai Peninsula.

Hiking/Trekking: Some of Alaska’s most common trekking trails include High Talkeetna Trek, as well as the Mt. Healy Overlook Trail, which is on our itinerary. Expect sweeping views of Denali National Park, as well as the surrounding valleys and mountains.

Climbing: For those interested in the activity, Alaska also offers a series of opportunities for mountain climbing and ski touring as a part of its tourist attractions. In Seward, we’ll get a chance to ice hiking and climbing on a glacier at Kenai Fjords National Park.

Photography: The trips into Alaska wilderness offer excellent opportunities for photography of wildlife and landscapes. Bring an extra camera battery — you won’t regret it!
